Phulkari 2023 - Evening Session 4PM

Malwa folk art center was established in 2017 by Harmanjit Singh (Coach Punjabi University, Patiala since 2005). Our mission is to preserve Punjabi folk culture and heritage with utmost devotion and dedication.  This mission is only achievable if we are successful in educating our students about the history of every folk dance along with their presentation. Folk dances are an expression of the rich culture and tradition of Punjab, India. Bhangra is the most well-known of all Punjabi folk dances. It’s a dance from the heart. This event will have 2 shows morning and evening. The show will have Bhangra, Giddha, Jhoomer, Luddi, Dhamaal, Lok geet, Folk orchestra, Dhol beats, and more. During the event, about 400 kids (+4 years to youth) will be performing on stage. There will be some remarkable performances in the evening show. During the performances, aside from the exotic choreography, you will also enjoy the aesthetic of their colorful, vibrant, and traditional costumes (vardiyaan). Malwa Folk Art Center takes pride in preserving the traditional dances and costumes as pure as they were in the past. All the kids and their families worked hard to make this event successful. This is the time to appreciate and boost our student’s confidence. We encourage everyone to enjoy both sessions. On August 12, let’s enjoy the ride into our vibrant and colorful Punjab through our beloved students.

There are no refunds or exchanges on tickets. (If the performance is rescheduled due to a Provincial Health order, tickets will be valid for the rescheduled date or refunded at the discretion of the promoter.)

All patrons over the age of 1 year old must have a ticket in order to enter the auditorium.
