FAHMDS Presents, “FOR THE CULTURE” A Fundraiser for AHFOMAD Festival 2023 In Collaboration with SMG Ent. Inc. and LE VAGUE Ent. Inc.
This is an event designed to highlight the work Festival African Heritage Music and Dance Society as the first officially recognized black led and focused arts presentation organization in Canada and raise funds to assist in our recovery and sustainability as we emerge from the COVID – 19 Pandemic.
TÖME, has toured with Mr Eazi, shared the stage with African music heavyweights Wizkid and Burna Boy and yet, she’s only just getting started. The Nigerian French-Canadian Singer-Songwriter born in Montreal, Canada brings a sonic palette that is just as diversified as her multicultural background. Her half-a-decade musical journey is marked by her debut project One with Self, a 5-track self-recorded acoustic EP that was released on Soundcloud in 2015. TÖME continued to hone her skills and nurture her audience with the release of her first official tape Tomesroom: Chapter 1 in 2019. In 2020, she released her sophomore album, Bigger than 4 Walls followed by her JUNO award-winning track ‘I Pray’ which features Jamaican artist, Sean Kingston, followed by her EP: Dreams in 2021 and her third official album LÖV (Love Over Vanity) in 2022.

Opened for WizKid on his STARBOY Tour
2021: JUNO Award winner in the Reggae category for her song with Sean Kingston
2022: Big splash as a featured artist at the SXSW Festival in Austin, Texas
Appeared in the Vancouver area at AHFOMAD Festival for the first time.

NOTABLE COLLABORATIONS:
On May 24, 2020, TÖME offered her sophomore album, a 10-track project dubbed bigger than 4 Walls (BT4W), which received over 2 million streams in 2 weeks. It featured African pop stars, Runtown, King Promise, Zlatan and neo-alternative artiste, Wavy the Creator.
As a follow up to the album, TÖME put out a single dubbed ‘I Pray’. It came as a 3-pack with one version in French, another as a solo effort and the final as a collab with Sean Kingston.
